Latest News!

June 2010 - We have allocated all the cricket whites and our Junior Players look great in their new club kit!

The new bats, pads, gloves, (cricket equipment))has now arrived and will be allocated on June 25th at Training Night for the Juniors who live in Rhyl/LL18 or attend Rhyl Schools as compiled from our membership database. Talented Player Kit is on Order.

The new mobile net cage is on order also and we are hiring taxi's and minibuses to transport our Rhyl children back and forth to Prestatyn with the Girls from Rhyl already being transported for their Tuesday cricket sessions.

It is so wonderful to see the changes this grant funding is already providing and we hope to go from strength to strength over the next 3 years of funding from BBC Children in Need.

Prestatyn Cricket Club are delighted to announce that in the May 2010 round of funding the club were awarded £25,500 over 3 years by BBC Children in Need to expand its outreach work to children in the Rhyl Community!

The funding will be used to fund transport to and from Rhyl and Prestatyn and match days, Coach Education courses, new personal equipment and cricket clothing for each child and a new mobile net cage for safe coaching.

Project Manager Bernadette Horton said" I am delighted PCC have been chosen to receive this significant award. This funding will make such a difference to the way in which we can help the children in Rhyl who have no cricket facilities or cricket club, and can participate safely at Prestatyn CC from now on."

More news on how our project develops over the next 3 years will follow...watch this space!
