Please download junior membership forms on the Membership section and bring a parent/carer to Beach Close between 6pm -6.30pm on Friday Training Nights commencing April 23rd onwards.

Junior Outdoor training at Beach Close commences Friday April 23rd at 6.30-8pm. A New Girls Cricket Training Night for Girls aged 9+ will commence on Tuesday April 20th 6-7.30pm.

Prestatyn CC caters for all Junior Cricketers

aged from 5-15.

We have the following squads:

Dragon Squad - This age group is from 5 -approximately 11 years old. We provide an introduction to cricket through skills and games with the emphasis on Fun. We cater for all abilities and particularly welcome children with disabilities who otherwise have not had a chance to participate in cricket before. Children move to Teams throughout the season if they have the ability to do so.

Under 9 Team - This is our Development Team for children to play at League Level who are Under 9. Children will move from the Dragon Squad to this Team during the season, if of a good enough standard, as decided by the Team Manager. This team plays soft ball cricket. Everyone in the team will bat and bowl.

Under 11 Team - Again this is our League Team for children under 11 years old. The children in this team play hard ball cricket, and while the club has equipment like bats, helmets, pads etc, children are encouraged to purchase their own equipment if chosen to play for their team. The emphasis is still on learning, and batsmen/women are not "out" in games but have 5 runs taken away from their total score. Each person in the 8 strong team will bat and bowl.

Under 13 Team - This team plays League Cricket, and the emphasis now moves to

structured cricket games, 11 man teams, bowlers bowl, keepers keep and batsmen bat etc.

Under 15 Team - Again the same as the 13's, with more overs bowled and an emphasis on preparing this squad for senior cricket. Some of this team will play 1st/2nd/3rd XI senior cricket if good enough.
